Our History

Beta Biomed was established in 1996. Our founder George Worley spent over 50 years in the electronic/medical field, both as an engineer and sales associate. He was involved in the early pioneering days of biomedical technology, assisting in the design of the first DC defibrillator, cardiac monitor, cardioverter and macro oximeter. He was also instrumental in establishing the initial sales of these new medical devices through territorial sales.

He served on numerous new product committees that have brought about the development of such products as: demand pacemaker, micro oximeter, invivo oximeter, heart lung oxygenator, portable defibrillator, fiber optic diagnostic instruments, diagnostic cardiac catheters and cardiac output computer. His deep understanding led him into the field of pulse oximetry in the early eighties, and he holds multiple patents in this domain.

That engineering rigor still drives our SpO2 sensor cables—among the best replacements on the market. We continue to expand our catalog to bring innovative products to the medical industry.

Quality First
Our Mission

One Standard of Quality—Everywhere

To fulfill our commitment to quality, we incorporate FDA Quality System Requirements (CGMP, CFR 21) and international standards (ISO 14971, ISO 13485) across manufacturing and repair. Please see our Quality page for certificates.

Although not required by law for repairs, we chose one level of quality control throughout the facility—significantly elevating our quality and customer confidence.
