BETA Biomed
Striving for Perfection Through Discovery and Innovation
Our History
Beta Biomed was established in 1996. Our founder George Worley spent over 50 years in the electronic/medical field, both as an engineer and sales associate. He was involved in the early pioneering days of biomedical technology, assisting in the design of the first DC defibrillator, cardiac monitor, cardioverter and macro oximeter. He was also instrumental in establishing the initial sales of these new medical devices through territorial sales. He served on numerous new product committees that have brought about the development of such products as: demand pacemaker, micro oximeter, invivo oximeter, heart lung oxygenator, portable defibrillator, fiber optic diagnostic instruments, diagnostic cardiac catheters and cardiac output computer. It is his understanding of these and other medical devices that led him into the new field of pulse oximetry in the early eighties. He holds a number of patents on various technologies in the pulse oximetry field. It is our deep knowledge of and attention to engineering details that make our SpO2 sensor cables the best replacement on the market. We constantly expand our catalog to bring the best and most innovative products to the medical industry.

Our Mission
In order to fulfill our commitment to quality, we incorporate the FDA Quality System Requirements (CGMP, CFR 21) and the international Quality Standards (ISO 14971 and ISO 13485) in all areas of our facility including manufacturing and repair. Please see our Quality Page to view Certificates. While it is not necessary, by law, to incorporate these standards in the repair department, we felt compelled to establish one level of quality control throughout the facility, thereby guaranteeing the highest standards for all of our services. This decision resulted in a significant increase in our quality level and has been a major factor in raising the confidence of our customers.
